This was this couples very first photo after they met,
and therefore obviously very precious. It was a
photocopy on normal paper and laminated, which
made the restoration more difficult. Also, it’s very
faded and not sharp. We restored it and made it as
sharp as possible and it’s now again a treasured
memory.
Now, that’s a badly damaged photo! Would
anybody else attempt to restore it?
But we like a challenge.

But who in their right mind would attempt to restore a photo like this. It was damaged in a
flood, almost beyond recognition. Of course it took many hours to restore and I’m sure it does
not look exactly like the original. I just had to make up some background. However, the horse
and rider are pretty authentic.

one of those film strip proofs from the old film days
and there was another person in the photo. We
restored it, then enlarged it in an
up-scale program that uses artificial intelligence to fill
in extra pixels, rather than just stretch them as
photoshop would do.
